Our Tai chi lessons with Master Tim

Over the past four weeks we have been learning tai chi with Mrs D's master. We found out that it helped us balance and have better self control by taking deep breaths. It also gave us more energy.

He also showed us some weapons from China, for example short and long stick, sabre and spear.

Visit to Rimu Park (Oakhaven)

We had a great time on Tuesday at Rimu Park. We entertained a huge room full of old, lovely people. All of the songs were perfect for them. We even played two recorder songs called "Skateboarding" and "Dinnertime." I was lucky enough to be the announcer.

Fun Culture Day

Yesterday, we had a really awesome "Culture Day." Everybody looked fabulous. Some people dressed up as Mexicans, some native Indians, some Maori, some Asians, and more!!!. The teacher dressed up as an England soccer player and there was lots of yummy food from other cultures, like giant pretzels, profiteroles, popcorn, corn chips and guacamole, pikelets, feta cheese and couscous, NZ cookies, pineapple and pineapple lumps.

Bishop Pat's Visit

Last Term, we were lucky enough to have Bishop Pat in our classroom. He spoke about Jesus being the "Good Shepherd."

Movement

We have been having such fun with our "Movement" concept, this Term. We had a great "Wheels Day," we've been experimenting with gravity and friction, been to Jump Jam and Gymnastics and are looking forward to our "Balloon Racer Challenge!"
