Museum Visit
We went to the museum last week and had a fabulous day! We learnt how museums came into existence. We were shown what a curator and an archivist does. We had the chance to catalogue an ancient bottle ourselves. We saw all of the taonga in the museum and the living taonga in the kiwi house. We were lucky enough to see both the kiwi and the ruru (moreporks). We also saw geckoes.
We visited the old Clarke homestead and saw the taonga from long ago. We were also given the chance to try making our own display of toys from the olden days (some that Mrs D remembers playing with!!)We hope you enjoy our slideshow. Thanks Mrs Stainton, for being chief photographer!
Out taonga movie
We managed to make a movie of the photos we took when we were sharing our taonga. Have a look at our special treasures, especially Heeni's beautiful whanau tapa cloth!

Messages for Christchurch
Felix had a fabulous idea for our class to send messages from More FM radio station to Christchurch, to cheer them up. We wrote our ideas, practised our lines and went down on Thursday, 19th May to have our words recorded. We hope you enjoy our movie of this event, kindly put together by Whaea Rose, who is helping Mrs Douglas for five weeks.

"Healthy Me"
We are well into Term One and enjoying our "Healthy Me" activities. We have been bike riding, learning about healthy food and looking after ourselves and our teeth.
Senior Constable Marnie taught us about becoming confident and alert. It was very helpful.
At the moment we are enjoying a daily "Jump jam" session to help to keep us healthy.
